A German Limerick
In Wiseman's Laugh-Lab experiment he found that when asked to rate jokes for how funny they are, the Germans, on average, gave the highest "funniness" scores. One reason he suggested was that the Germans don't show a preference to any specific kind of jokes. However, while their taste may vary greatly when appreciating humor, the jokes made by German people do seem to have a special flavor, to my experience.
Here's a cool Limerick I heard in Germany. Notice how mechanical logic (an almost unique German jokes theme) plays part in this one:
Ein Zhan Arzt aus Carnige rode
A dentist from Carnige street
erfengt eine neue metode.
has developed a new method.
Die Bora fixiert, der pazient rotiert.
He fixates the drill and rotates the patient
Die metode fehrt meistems zum tode.
The method generally achieves death
